NOUN

nou·me·non

(in Kantian philosophy)
an object or event as it appears in itself
independent of perception by the senses

Noumé is an ongoing project by multidisciplinary designer Helen Tran. After many years as a designer in technology, a series of exploratory detours and life events led her to making jewelry, eventually inspiring her to leave her career and train in Rome under master goldsmiths and stone setters. Today the practice continues as a space to explore the essence of forms and what they are beyond their immediate appearance.
